The problem

When it's time to go to the shower, many people turn up the music to enjoy that moment, but when they get into the shower, they lose the ability to control the volume, choose, skip, play or stop the songs. This lack of control leads to listening to music that they didn't want to hear, to listen to it badly or not at all.

To solve this problem, I conducted extensive research analyzing Spotify data to design a device and its interface. Discover "Shower Thing", its navigation and main features in the video below:

The challenges

The challenges of this project were to find the balance between visual and acoustic, and also to design for utility, but without forgetting the delight. The device features a karaoke mode leveraging Spotify's Lyrics functionality, since singing in the shower is a very common pleasure, the user can learn, interpret and get the lyrics of their favorite songs right.

Simplify the interface and save water

To save time and therefore not waste water, apart from connecting to the mobile via Bluetooth and play directly what is programmed, the navigation of the device is simplified, focusing o, the user's library and the list of recently listened. In addiction, it features a voice assistant si there is no need to stop showering and free your hands.
